Tracy Melon Storms Off Stage After Fan Misconduct in Mbarara

Popular Ugandan singer Tracy Melon abruptly halted her performance in Mbarara over the weekend after a disturbing incident involving a fan, leaving many concertgoers shocked and disappointed.

The “Kakana” hitmaker had taken to the stage at the Queens and Kings Cocktails Brunch held at Shooters Bar in Mbarara when the situation unfolded. What began as an energetic performance quickly turned tense after a member of the audience allegedly crossed the line.

According to Melon, a male fan inappropriately touched her while she was performing, an act she described as deeply disrespectful and unacceptable.

“There was a guy in the audience who patted my butt, and I felt very disrespected. Out of anger, I turned back, hit him, and then left the stage,” she revealed.

The incident brought her set to an immediate end, leaving fans confused as to why the show had been cut short. It was only later that details emerged explaining the abrupt exit.

Growing Concern Over Artist Safety

This marks the second time Tracy Melon has had a performance disrupted by unruly fan behavior. Earlier this year, during a New Year’s event in Luweero, she was also forced off stage under similar circumstances involving disorderly crowds.

The latest incident has reignited conversations around artist safety, particularly for female performers who often face harassment while on stage.

Melon has since strongly condemned such behavior, emphasizing that disrespect toward artists—especially women—should not be tolerated under any circumstances.

“This kind of conduct is not only disrespectful but also very demotivating,” she noted.

Following the incident, social media has been flooded with reactions from fans, fellow artists, and public figures, many expressing solidarity with the singer while calling for stricter security measures at events.

Others have urged event organizers to take greater responsibility in ensuring safe performance environments, including better crowd control and swift action against misconduct.

As conversations continue, the incident serves as a stark reminder of the need for respect and professionalism at entertainment events—both from fans and organizers alike.
