Growing up in Kireka, Shakiel faced a reality where many had already written his future for him. Surrounded by negative assumptions, he recalls how some believed he would end up on the wrong side of life. But instead of conforming, he chose to challenge that narrative.

Determined to build something different, Shakiel pushed through the odds and earned a place at Kyambogo University—a turning point that would shape his mindset and ambitions.
